Master Leather Care & Maintenance Guide

Essential care protocols for preserving vegetable-tanned grain, natural patina, and hardware luster. White-label care manuals available for all custom OEM orders.

1. Moisture Management

If leather gets wet from rain, pat gently with a dry microfiber cloth and allow it to dry naturally at room temperature. Never use direct hair dryers or radiators.

2. Sunlight & Heat

Prolonged exposure to intense UV rays will dry out natural leather essential oils and cause premature fading. Store bags away from direct glass window displays.

3. Storage & Dustbags

Always store leather goods inside breathable 100% cotton dustbags with acid-free tissue stuffing inside to preserve architectural structure during transit.

Care By Leather Tannage & Finish

Full-Grain & Vegetable-Tanned Vaqueta

Patina-Prone

Vegetable-tanned leathers absorb natural oils from the hands, developing a deep, rich luster. Condition every 4–6 months with neutral beeswax or lanolin-based leather balms.

Apply conditioner in gentle circular motions using a soft lint-free cloth.
Avoid solvent-based cleaners or alcohol wipes which strip top oils.

Italian Suede & Brushed Nubuck

Nap Finish

Suede requires a specialized brass or crepe brush to restore nap texture. Do not apply liquid creams or waxes, which flatten nap fibers.

Pre-treat with fluorocarbon-free water-repellent spray prior to retail launch.
Use gum eraser blocks for localized surface soil marks.
